Amy Tran, DDS
Dr. Amy Tran was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley. Growing up with a passion for both art and science, Dr. Tran graduated from UCLA as an Alumni Scholar with honors in Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics. She then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at UCLA as a Regents Scholar. During her early years of practice, Dr. Tran participated in various study groups/clubs so she could hone her clinical skills. While she has adopted and implemented some of the latest technological advances in Dentistry, Dr. Tran still prefers to restore teeth with conservatively such as with cast gold restorations when deemed appropriate. She is a member of the Academy of Operative Dentistry and a graduate of the R.V. Tucker Institute in Seattle.
Aside from pursuing excellence in clinical dentistry, Dr. Tran has devotes much of her time to organized dentistry and public health. After graduating in 2008, she has been involved with organized dentistry in various capacities. Dr. Tran served as President of the San Gabriel Valley Dental Society in 2017 and currently serves as Chair of the Foundation. She is also serving as Governance Chair for the dental society and as a Delegate for the California Dental Association and American Dental Association. For the past three years, she was appointed as the 13th District (California) representative on the Council on Ethics, Bylaws, and Judicial Affairs for the American Dental Association. In recognition of her dedication to Professionalism, Service and Ethics, Dr. Tran was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists in 2018 and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists in 2019.
